Dedicated to women pregnancy and newborns safety

About me

Professor Olivier Dupuis is a doctor specialising in gynaecology and obstetrics.

He graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Paris V in 1997 and obtained his specialist diploma in gynaecology and obstetrics from the University of Paris V in 1999.

He also obtained a doctorate in science from the French National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Lyon in 2005 and was granted the authorisation to direct research by the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 2006.

After working at the Hôpital Bichat in Paris, he has worked in Lyon since 2000 where he has been a professor of gynaecology and obstetrics since 2009.

He specialises in the safety and quality of care, particularly during pregnancy and childbirth.

In 2003, he devised the colour code system for caesarean sections, a communication tool that is now used in most maternity hospitals in France.

Thanks to his strong belief in the value of pedagogy and innovation, he is making this site available to medical students and practitioners whose aim is to improve the quality and safety of the care they give pregnant women.
